Apartment Re-do Part Deaux (The Office)

This weekend I was trying to decide what I wanted this office space to be. Was it a common area for the kids and fiancée to utilize also (uh, no). I also wanted to make sure that I had enough room without it intruding into any other space and looking awkward and mismatched. So, since the space is already white, I won’t have to do any painting (#win)!

My grandmother use to have this old antique Secretary desk that I absolutely loved. Seeing as I am limited on space in my abode, a Secretary style desk would be great. Now, finding an antique like the one my grandmother had was so out of my price range. So, I went to the IKEA website (my favorite store in the world) to see what options I had and man did I come up on a major score!!!

But I also fell in love with another one and I don’t know if it will fit well. I want all the bells and whistles that come with this one! LOL!

Apartment Re-do 1.5

 

Since moving into our apartment (13 months ago) my fiancée and I have barely had time to sleep let alone thing about decorating. At first I wasn’t to jazzed about doing anything to a temporary place seeing as we have started the process of trying to buy our first home together, but the more I thought about it I decided that I want to do something with the place until we are ready to move into our home. So I will be starting with baby steps. I’m by no means an interior designer or Martha Stewart, but I know what I like and what works for us and the kids. I’ve decided that my first project will be a home office space! Here are some pictures of spaces that I like and when I’m done, I will post some before and after pictures! Stay tuned……
