Tantrum Tuesday

Hey Guys, I usually don't do this, but I just need a good ol' rant. Nothing too earth shattering. I just need to get some stuff off my chest. Ready? Here goes:
 - I'm tired
 - I'm stressed
 - I need a vacation
 - I need a vacation from my day job
 - I'm planning my wedding, trying to buy a house and get my business off the ground
 - ALL.AT.THE.SAME.TIME......
 - Sometimes I feel like I need more hours in the day, more days in the week, more weeks in the month... you see where I'm going with this. But I know if I had more, I'd still be asking for more. OK. That's enough! I'm not one of those people who just sits around looking for stuff to complain about. That's a miserable way to be.
 I'll be back a little later. I'm out! :-)

Because all of my Christmas shopping was done, on Christmas eve, my daughter and I decided to go do some thrifting. Here are a few of the pieces I found. There was more, but I had to leave it behind. I plan on doing some major makeovers! Stay tuned.....

The picture below brought back so many memories. My grandmother use to have a sewing machine like these. She would make EVERYTHING on it! Clothes, curtains (for home and the church), slip covers, etc. You name it, she made it. Seeing these in the thrift store just made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I try not  to show emotion that often, but seeing these made your girl turn into a punk for 3.5 milliseconds. LOL!

Happy New Year!

Hey Everybody!

I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year! I had a fantastic time! I went to church, then IHOP and home to sleep! There are a lot of things I want to do in 2012, but I won't call them resolutions. I will call them.....  promises. Yeah, promises. Promises to myself. As moms/wives/significant others, we women take care of everyone else and neglect ourselves.Well this year that's going to change. I will continue to take care of my family, but I will start making time for myself. So here is a list of just some of the promises (not in any particular order) that I have made to myself to fulfill this year.

~Lose some a lot of weight (I have already joined Weight Watchers)
~Go to the gym at least 3 times a week
~Go to the spa at least once a month for a massage or something
~Buy a house
~Take two vacations (one with the kids, one without)
~Get married.... Long story for another post! LOL!
~Work on my business
~Stop procrastinating
~Get organized
~Stay organized
~Do more DIY projects
~Grow my blog

There's more, but I'll add them as the come to me. What are some of your promises for 2012?
