Hello Mrs. Nice Watch....

Don't mind the title. I was listening to J.Cole while I was getting this post together. It's been a minute since I've done a blog post. My day job has been crazy! Anyway, enough about that, let's talk about my favorite thing in the world: WATCHES!!!!! But, not just any watches, Swatch Watches. Yes, you heard/read me right, Swatch! I have been in love with Swatch watches since I was a youngin'. I have lots of them. Not going to say how many, but its a lot. I love other watches but Swatch is my all time fave! They last forever, they are stylish and they don't try to break the bank! Here is a pic of just a few of my faves. It would take a few pics and hours to photograph all of my watches.

Did you have Swatch watches when you were growing up?

*Disclaimer: I was NOT paid by Swatch or any other company that I may post about on my blog. This is my opinion only.

A Day At The Market

Sunday me and the teenagers decided to go to Eastern Market to see all the vendors and try to find a few things. For as long as I've lived in DC (14 years) I have never been to the market. We had an amazing time! There was food, music, clothes, art, jewelry, candles.... EVERYTHING!!!!! I was in love! Here are a few shots from our day at the market.

I love vintage luggage!

The big blue bowl was mine!

The signs the vendor had were so cool! (I like the one at the top. LOL)

Just one of the MANY jewelry vendors

Liyah fell in love with this vintage military jacket.

This is how I spent my Sunday. How did you spend yours? As always, thanks for visiting my blog!

Day 30

Day 30: Who are you?

I think my profile pretty much sums it up:

Mother. Fiancée. Gemini. Entrepreneur. Shoe Fiend. Handbag Junkie. Girly Tomboy. Tech Geek. Part-time Potty Mouth. Full-time Music Lover. I know a little about a lot of things but I'm trying to master one.

Plus a few more things:

I'm fun loving, hard-working, ambitious, loyal, sexy, and assertive. I love to read, write, shop, hang out with my kids, traveling, and drinking cheap wine. :-)

This 30 day challenge was fun!

Day 29/1 Year Old

Day 29: In the past month, what have you learned?

In the last month, I have learned that I am a lot stronger, smarter and creative than I thought I was. I figured out that I really like blogging. I like having my own little piece of the internet. I have also learned that I'm interested in a lot of stuff that I didn't know I liked! I see that my taste in a lot of things are changing. That may be an age thing..... But, I like it just the same.

What have you learned in the last month?

Day 28

Day 28: A picture of you last year and now, how have you changed since then?

October 2010- Cruising with the Fam

October 2011- Just chillin' :-)

How I've changed: I think I've changed because I don't let a lot of stuff get to me now like I did back then. I've lost a few pounds, gained it back and lost it again. LOL! I'm also closer to my dreams than I have been in a long time.

How have you changed in the last year?

Day 27/ BOOTS!!!!!!

Day 27: Why are you doing this 30 day challenge

I am doing this challenge because I wanted to let the people who read my blog get to know a little bit more about me. I also did this challenge because I had been neglecting my blog by not posting as often as I should and they say if you do something for 30 days it becomes habit. So I want to see how true that is.

It has gotten a little nippy her in DC, so that has made me want to wear boots! Slouchy boots, motorcycle boots, wedge boots.... Boots, boots, boots!!!!!!! So here a few that have definitely caught my eye and I think my cards are about to get a MAJOR work out!

Just a few of my faves.
*note to self: find more hiding places from hubs* (just kidding!)

Day 26/ Mini Haul

Day 26: What do you think about your friends

My friends are the bomb dot com. LOL! (Corny, I know.) I have the most fabulous group of people around me. We may not talk everyday, but I know when it really comes down to it, they have my back and I most definitely have theirs.

So yesterday (and Friday) I did a little shopping. I had been looking for a black blazer for the longest time. For us thick girls, they always make them boxy and ill-fitting, then I have to spend a ton of money to get it altered to fit just right. Well my search has ended! I found the perfect fitting blazer at Ashley Stewart yesterday!!! *hitting my dougie* The fit is so perfect! I went down a size (go me!) so the fit is amazing!

*** right now they are buy 1 get one 50% off!!!!***

I bought a bunch of other stuff, but this by far my favorite purchase from the weekend!

Day 24

Day 24: A letter to your parents

Dear Mommy, Daddy and Grandma,

Thank you. Thank you for making me the woman I am today. Thank you for instilling in me morals and values. Everything wasn't always easy, but we made the best with what we had. Grandma, I know I didn't always want to hear/listen to what you had to say when I was younger and thought you were just nagging me. But now I see everything that you were saying was the truth and I carry all of those life lessons in my heart. I miss you so much but I know you are in a better place. Mommy, I am so proud of you! Daddy, I love you.

Love Always,
